					<description><![CDATA[I&#039;ve had the Ooni Karu 16 for a few years and while it&#039;s great during warmer and drier months running it during the winter can be hard work. The Ooni Volt heats up really quickly, holds the temperature steadily and is easier to use than the Karu on gas (much easier than with wood &#038; charcoal). The heater under the stone and that it beeps when it&#039;s up to temp makes it pretty fool proof. I find giving the pizza a single turn towards the end works best, but it&#039;s a remove it and turn it on the peel job as using a turning peel in there would be very tight. It&#039;s pretty cheap to run, about 15p (2/3 of a unit on the meter) to get up to max temp and turn out a couple of Neapolitan pizzas. 

It&#039;s a BIG unit, and not exactly light, so check it&#039;ll fit where you intend to store it... The wood and gas models put on a show while heating up and cooking, this is a piece of kitchen equipment, it hums away quietly but turns out cracking pizzas year round. The Karu will still be used during BBQ season, but this has started to make really good pizza a WFH midweek lunch option...]]></description>
