The Igneus Classico is an excellent choice for families and is specifically designed for outdoor cooking. It can cook two 12” pizzas in just 60 seconds, or alternatively accommodate two large roasting trays, making it ideal for roasting meat and vegetables as well as baking pizzas. The Classico reaches the optimal pizza-cooking temperature of 450°C in just 20 minutes. With a generous internal cooking area of 60 x 60cm, it offers outstanding cooking capacity.

Features

A built-in thermometer positioned on the front left of the oven allows you to monitor the internal temperature. However, we recommend using an infrared digital thermometer for a more accurate reading of the firebrick temperature.

Heat retention can be controlled using the chimney damper system, along with the removable door and adjustable air vents. This level of control is especially useful for slow cooking. Please note that any food other than pizza should be cooked using cast iron cookware.

The Igneus Classico features 28mm-thick firebricks designed to retain heat efficiently from the wood fire. Like all Igneus pizza ovens, the Classico is wood-fired and fuelled using kiln-dried hardwood logs. We recommend kiln-dried silver birch, as it lights quickly and burns at high temperatures. Denser hardwoods can be used, but they will take longer to bring the oven up to heat.

Lightweight Design

Weighing just 45kg, the Classico can be positioned almost anywhere in your garden. With the firebricks removed, the weight is reduced to only 20kg, making it easy to move and reposition for optimal performance. The oven can be placed on most tabletop surfaces (excluding granite and glass) and features four wooden legs underneath to ensure a safe clearance from the surface below. Two stand options are also available: a wooden stand or a custom stainless steel trolley stand.
